New Hampshire by Ross

Cathy:  Ross, I noticed you didn’t talk about our trip up to Mt. Manchester when you wrote about Stowe, Vermont.  Why did you leave it out? Ross:  Mama, I didn’t like that mountain.  The road was very narrow and scary.  I was afraid someone in a car coming the other way would run us off the road and then, we’d fall down the mountain.  And when we got to the top, there was a weird noise that … [Read more...] about New Hampshire by Ross

Vermont Part 2 by Ross

Mom’s putting the laundry away and when I offered to help, she told me to find something else to do.  She says the reason all her clothes are dirty is because I jumped on her and left paw prints.  I disagree, I think they are fashionable, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my short life, it’s when Mom is irritated, stay out of her way. So, I thought I would finish blogging about Vermont.  … [Read more...] about Vermont Part 2 by Ross

The Adirondacks by Cathy

Wilmington, New York offered variety of things to see and do.  From Lake Placid and the Olympic training center to waterfalls, gorges, ski resorts and mountains.   Because my infusion date occurred while we were there and because New York required me to see a physician before I could have my infusion, two of our days there were spent going back and forth to the hospital.  But we did manage to see … [Read more...] about The Adirondacks by Cathy

Women’s Rights National Historical Park by Cathy

She was bored.  She was tired of corralling children, fixing up a run-down house, overseeing housework and meal prep.  How many of us as women have been just plain tired?  But, when Elizabeth Cady Stanton got bored, instead of throwing herself into family life, reading a romance novel or finding another creative outlet, she started a Women’s Rights movement.  I know in some ways, I am simplifying … [Read more...] about Women’s Rights National Historical Park by Cathy

Lots More Waterfalls by Ross

More waterfalls today!  And Lark stayed home so I get to write again.  We are now in the Finger Lakes region of New York, east of Niagara Falls.  We drove here on Saturday.  Its Memorial Day weekend so the campground where we are staying is really crowded.  There is no dog park, but a big field where we can run and play off leash.  But that’s not good for Lark, so she stayed to rest in the … [Read more...] about Lots More Waterfalls by Ross
