End of the Road

Big Dogs Road Trip lost one of its members last week. Cory, the consummate  bossy big sister, the history and science instructor, our girl, our partner, our heart died unexpectedly while in Lynchburg, Virginia. We were behind in our blogging. She was going to tell you about Cordero State Park in Pennsylvania, lots of walking trails and a big field to explore, Cedarville State Forest in Maryland and her favorite, Delaware Seashore State Park with its beautiful dog friendly beach. I thought I might be able to write the blogs posthumously but I can’t. You’ll have to go visit and see for yourself. We are all grieving including Lark and Lynchburg is our last stop on this road trip so we are going to stop blogging for now. It’s hard to talk about Big Dogs with only one dog. We’re already planning a trip for 2022 and who knows what surprises are in store. Subscribe to our site so you don’t miss next years adventures. We’ll be back. Just different.

I am so sorry for your loss! Having owned dogs in my life several times I know what a heartbreak this is. I have enjoyed your posts and I hope that you will set our again next year. It will be hard for you but I think it’s the right path for you to rake. I will look forward to your new posts in 2022.

Cathy (and Glen) – Suzanne told us last night about Cory….so, so sorry to hear. Sharing all those adventures over so many miles creates a very special relationship, a hole that will never be filled. The heights of that doggie-love are what makes the depths of sadness…but Cory would of course want you to focus on memories of the lively, loyal and loving times. Take care. -Jack and April

Glen and Cathy, We are so sorry for your loss of your beloved pet. They become part of the family and when they cross the Rainbow Bridge it is heartbreaking. He will always be with you with his paws across your hearts.

Such a sad thing! This is Phaedra’s mom and we have been following your adventures from the beginning. The big dogs have brought us much joy, you , too. I am so sorry.

Having loved and lost, I share your tears. There will be more adventures, I’m sure, perhaps with a new family member in the future.
